Our Story

Established in 2009, Brick City Bicycles has grown into one of the largest and most active bicycle retailers in Central Florida. Owned by bicycle enthusiasts passionate for all forms of the sport, Brick City goes above and beyond to pass on the fire for cycling to young and old.

The owners and staff are among the original group involved in the creation of the Ocala Mountain Bike Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and maintaining the extensive mountain bike trail system at Santos. They also build trails in other parks in the area such as Scott Springs Park. Brick City’s staff and owners have spent countless hours building and maintaining biking trails in the surrounding area.

Because riding a bike sometimes means the thrill of racing a bike, they mentor teams of bike riders of all ages. Their amateur Brick City Bicycles Racing Team trains and attends races across the Southeast and beyond. In addition, Brick City owners created the Florida Devos, which is dedicated to helping children learn to ride mountain bikes. They also sponsor and promote many other bike races (cyclocross, short track, adventure, mountain bike, and road races) in the area.

Cycling together in a group is more fun which is why they regularly lead a multitude of rides for all ages and abilities all year round. Their downtown Ocala location at 29 NE 1st Avenue is perfectly situated to head out for group rides up the country roads and rolling hills in the area.

Brick City Bicycles has gathered a loyal following of riders and will continue to encourage and support biking in the area while providing personalized customer service, top notch repair, equipment, paddleboards, and accessories for getting around on two wheels or on local waterways.
